Luke George from Wakefield Trinity Wildcats seala a deal with Huddersfield Giants - Rugby League

Luke George has been taken on board by the Huddersfield Giants from the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on a two-year contract this Thursday, September 8. George makes a return to his ex-club, after serving with Wildcats for five years.
While speaking about his recent joining with the Giants, George added, "From the club that I left to the club that it is now, it's progressed so much over the last few years. I'm just really looking forward to it - it's a great opportunity for me at a club
that's going forward.”
Explaining his career move, he further added, "It's another step in my career - the club is on the rise and I want to be part of that. Plus it's my home-town team so that's added incentive to go there and do well."
According to his explanation, there were two reasons for his rejoining with his former club that led to this dream career move. He believes that the club is on the road to success and he wishes to be part of the rise of his former franchise.
For him this was an opportunity too good to miss out on, and he is eager to play alongside his long time fellows, Leroy Cudjoe, Michael Lawrence and Jermaine McGillvary.
He also recalled that he was with Cudjoe and Lawrence at the academy before joining the Wildcats who have seasoned splendidly under Giants set up.
The Giants’ coach Nathan Brown stated about George’s uptake to his club and stated, "He is a big athletic player and comes in alongside our other home-grown outside backs, we have the likes of Jermaine (McGillvary), Leroy (Cudjoe) and Michael (Lawrence)
and I'm sure Luke will fit in well.”
The coach added that George is a Super League player with a lot of potential and admitted that he is one of those players whose career path has been followed up by him closely. According to the coach if he mirrors the amount of work he has given into the
three mentioned earlier, can leap frog his performance in the rugby palette.
