Luke Pomersbach granted bail by Delhi court – Cricket News Update

charges.
The batsman was granted bail by magistrate Navika Kumari, after CCTV footage from the five-star hotel where the incident took place was scrutinized, and no evidence regarding criminal trespassing (under section 452 of the Indian Penal Code - house-trespass
after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint) was discovered.
“No material evidence for offence under section 452 of the IPC is made out against the accused. I am granting him bail on a personal bond of Rs 30,000 with two sureties,” said the court.
The 27-year-old became embroiled in controversy when he was accused of molesting an American woman earlier this week on Thursday at a hotel, in addition to assaulting her fiancé who attempted to restrain the cricketer. The fiancé was later admitted to a

Siddharth Mallya, son of the team owner, was the only one to express support for Pomersbach, but has currently been served a legal notice himself, for publicly having cast doubts on the character of the woman in question on Twitter.
After being getting bail, Pomersbach claimed that he was “innocent and relieved now.”
“I have full faith in the justice system,” he added, before going on to admit that he had “no idea what is going to happen in the next few days.”
