England and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World T20.
With 30 T20Is and 46 ODIs to his credit, Wright’s last match in English colours was on June 25, 2011, when he played against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 in a T20 match at County Ground, Bristol.
"It's been a while that I've been out of the reckoning so it's nice to be noticed again."
"I'd have been disappointed if I wasn't in it after doing well for the last year. There's a lot of good names so it'll be tough getting into the 15," said Wright.
With England ranked number 1 in ICC T20 rankings, Wright Knows regaining his place in the national side will be a tough task.
"England have done so well over the last year or two and it's a very tough team to break into, which is a good thing for England," he stated.
"I'm desperate to get in there but I understand why people are playing there," Wright added further.
The Lincolnshire born all-rounder has a fight on hand with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/JC-Tredwell-c1676 and Chris Woakes, who are all vying for a berth in England squad as all-rounders.
However, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/TT-Bresnan-c2711 appear to be automatic choices to fill in the available spots.
"I got injured and other players take your place," said Wright.
Wright, who was a member of England’s T20 World Cup winning squad in 2010, missed the major part of 2011 campaign with a knee injury.
Wright has played 124 Twenty20s and scored 2538 runs at an average of 26.43 and also has 59 wickets at a strike rate of 23.2.
The all-rounder represents Sussex in England’s domestic competition and has been in superb form this season, averaging over 35 with the bat and has been picking wickets as well.
Wright also plays for Melbourne Stars in Australia's Big Bash League, and holds the record of hitting the fastest hundred, off 44 balls.
A pace-bowling allrounder with immense potential, Wright was once tipped as a potential successor to replace http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Andrew-Flintoff-c44360, when he retired from international cricket in 2009.
