The 20-year-old has made it clear that he does not seek a move away from the Eredivisie champions at this point of his career, while admitting that it is flattering to see Newcastle United’s interest in his services.
Ajax Amsterdam young winger, Jody Lukoki, has mooted all speculation that were linking him with a move away from Amsterdam Arena in the upcoming January transfer window, and has made it clear that he has no intentions whatsoever to leave the Eredivisie champions
at the moment.
English Premier League outfit, Newcastle United, have reportedly been keeping tabs on the 20-year-old for quite some time now. Several reports in English media have been suggesting that the Magpies would be tabling a bid in the upcoming winter transfer market
to acquire the services of the promising young winger.
However, the youngster has revealed that he does not know about the Toon’s interest, though, he has admitted that it is pleasing to hear about such a club taking interest in signing him.
“I know nothing of it myself. Of course, it is nice that such a big club are interested. If there is anything to it though, they should approach my agent”, Lukoki was quoted as saying to Voetbal International.
The 20-year-old went on to insist that he does not intend to leave his current club at the moment, and his entire focus is currently on performing well while wearing De Joden colours.
“I am only 20 years old. I am focusing on Ajax and I am not thinking about other things. But, as I said, it is of course nice that such a big club has an interest in me”, Lukoki concluded.
The highly talented winger has thus far represented the Amsterdam giants in 20 Eredivisie appearances, netting five goals while setting up plenty more along the way.
The Dutchman has an ongoing contract at Amsterdam Arena that runs until the summer of 2015, but reports indicate that the Amsterdammers management would be offering him a new deal to prolong his stay at Amsterdam Arena.
Newcastle have good terms with Ajax since the signing of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vurnon-Anita-c36486 from De Joden earlier this year in the summer transfer window.
