so my mom had this tape when i was little, and there were a whole bunch of lullabies on it, one was about going to the carnival, and one was about horses and then there was on about butterflies and crickets, and moon beams

it went like this:

butterflies sore through the sky,

fluttering above the ground,

butterflies sore through the sky,

someday baby you will fly

close your little eyes

sleep until you dream

someday you will know

that you can be anything

moon beams fall from up above

something something away with love

i cant remember the next verses

close your little eyes

sleep until you dream

someday you will know

that you can be anything

crickets chirp the whole night through

playing songs for me and you

crickets calling wing to wing

someday baby you will sing

and it went on from there but i cant remember the rest

the second one i can remember goes like this:

rock a bye baby to a hush a bye beat

we'll go rockin down hush a bye street

come into my arms

where a dreamer can dream

and we'll go rockin down hush a bye street

and it goes on from there but i dont know the rest

i asked my mom about them and she remeber the songs but not who sang them or more of them, then what i already know...i want to sing them to my baby but i need help finding the whole songs or who sang them

  1. I think it might have been Music Machine. There was lots of lullabies on that record that we had as kids.

  2. I tried but I cant find a thing for you!  Do you know the ethnic origin of the songs?  That may help you narrow down your search.

  3. The song you have the lyrics for is "Someday Baby" by Katherine Hines.  It appears on her Hunk-ta-bunk-Ta Funsies 1 cd.

  4. sorry i don't know.

    i saw you post yesterday.
