Lumbar sympathetic nerve blocks?

i have recently been diagnosed with RSD/CRPS in my left foot. I have had problems with my left foot for awhile bc of plantar fasciitis (i had a plantar fascia release about 3 months ago). ne ways i am going to have lumbar sympathetic blocks done and was wondering what they are like? did you have lasting relieve with it? how many did you end up having?

Girl i have the same thing but mine started in my right arm, my mother has it in her left leg.  My shots were in my neck, she tried the lumbar one and it did not work on either of us, i stopped breathing in fact.  GO to the RSDS website and see if they have any feedback on if this worked on anyone, everyone i know not just my mother it hasn't and its a process i wont lie to you that is extremely painful to have done.  

    Your new to this disorder they will try all kinds of things on you, if they make you worse stop, i have flushed so many drugs down my toilet (we have septic so it isn't going in the sewer)  Learning to live with this will be life changing to you and everyone around you.  Take care of yourself, i do hope you find the light at the end of the tunnel.


  2. They will inject a steriod into the lumbar region of your back.  This is the lower part of your back.  If one works, they will do a max of three.

    The lasting relief may or may not happen.
