I just recently noticed a lump on the left side of my chest above my nipple. It's not that large, but if you push down you can feel it better. It's about the size of an Airsoft bullet. It it cancer, or just muscle, or some deformation? I'm a guy in the ages of 13 - 16.

  1. it is likely a cyst or a simmilar growth you need to see a dr just to be safe however ,,, don't press on it you dont want it to burst

  2. Well, I know when your going through puberty you get cysts in your nipple. I don't know about around it though. I thought I had breast cancer, but I asked my friend if he got them too. And you do, I even looked it up. But, you should go see a doctor just incase. Its probably a cyst, but you never know. Don't push on it either, you don't want to pop whatever it is.

  3. Hey, it's called a puberty lump and it's common with guys when they go through puberty. Anyway, there may be some soreness associated with the lump, but don't squeeze or mash on it or you could create a problem. It'll go away by itself in a few months but may last as long as a year. Let your parents know about it so they know what's going on with you. There's no need to make a special trip to the doctor for this, but do mention it to him the next time you go.
