for about 4 days now i've been noticing that i have a lump on the inside of my leg, above my ankle next to the bone.. there is no bruising whatsoever, and the bump isnt visible, but it hurts with any kind of pressure and the bump is probably about the size of a cherry. its not hard, but its firm and not squishy.

did i just.. hit my leg somehow to get this bump? and it just happens to be a weird kind of bump?

or is this something i should get checked out? obviously i dont want to end up losing my foot or something. lol but.

thanks for all serious answers!!

  1. yeah u should definitely check it out as soon as possible

  2. Its sounds like a cyst.  They can be painful at times.  If this has been going for 4 days, I would have it checked out by a doctor just to make sure its not pressing against anything.  It may need to be removed, but it usually is an outpatient procedure and you go home the same day.

    Hope this helps.

    As for the headaches, I get those too sometimes.  Headaches are caused by vasoconstriction of the blood vessels in the brain.  Sometimes it lasts long (migraine) and sometimes its quick like the ones you are getting.  However, if you are very concerned about this I would ask the doctor to get a MRI or CT scan of your head just to be sure.

  3. Your bump is probably nothing to worry about but you still need to be seen by your physician for an evaluation. This lump may be a harmless cyst or something else benign but you are at the age where various soft tissue or muscle sarcomas are a rare but potential occurrence. Do not fixate over this possibility or even bother Googling this right now. Just go to your Dr and get an exam and make sure you have nothing to worry about and then move on with your life.

    I doubt the headaches are related. I had headaches when I was a teenager. I think these were probably caused by either hormones or allergies.

    Just in case, see a Dr and get the lump looked at and even after seeing the Dr if the lump doesn't go away in 30 days go back to the Dr and insist on a biopsy. Should this be a tumor, early surgical intervention is your best opportunity for a complete cure.

    good luck

  4. Its probably just a swollen limthnote! I got one on my back and it hurts and first then it settles down but i had to go to the doctor so i would go see one! but the swollen goes down

    hope i helped!=]

    xoxo
