Lump on armpit please help

my brother got a lump on his armpit he is 19 not a smoker and a light drinker. we are are really nervous espiacially location. what is it please tell

it could be breast cancer maybe ive heard a lump under the armpit may indicate this see if he has a lump under each nipple or under one and please go to the doctor (my dad told me once it can be puberty related BUT GO TO THE DOCOTR)

Sounds like a swollen lymph node...Indicates an infection of some sort going on.  Lymph glands swell as they battle infection, and are sometimes sore.  If it doesn't go down in a day or two, a trip to the doctor is in order.

It sounds like a swollen lymph node, I had one when I was 13. I had to go to the hospital and have surgery, they have to cut it open and drain it out. You will also have to stuff gauze in it every day. You should have him go to the hospital immediately.

is it under the pit?  sounds like a swollen lymph node.  I had that happen to me.  They never could figure out why it did that.  I actually had to have it 'drained'.  And it never did swell up again.

I'd get it checked out.

Almost certainly a swollen lymph node -- may be nothing, may be an infection, may (unlikely but possible) be the first step into Lymphoma ( a highly curable form of cancer )  If it endures more than a very few days -- he needs to see a doctor.

Could be a sign of infection.  There are lymph nodes under your arm (arm pit).  Sometimes with infection they get sore.  He should call his doctor if it don't go away in a couple of days.
