I am 26. I already saw the breast specialist. He gave me those 2 options. What should I do?

Will it grow?

My mom died from breast cancer at the age of 58. So he wants to remove it, but I'm not sure what to do?? HELP! Thanks

  1. get a biopsy, and if it's harmful in ANY WAY, get it removed!!!!

  2. I'd recommend before undergoing surgery of any sort, get a mammogram and an ultrasound done.  Then a needle-biopsy if the lump is in a place that allows for that sort of biopsy.  THEN schedule a lumpectomy (lump removal), which is minimally invasive, and then (and ONLY then) should the pathology return from either the needle or lumpectomy tests decide on a mastectomy.

It could conceivably be a completely benign lump, but ONLY pathology will tell you for sure.  Don't go hacking off body parts until you're ABSOLUTELY sure it's necessary.

    Good luck.

  3. personally i would remove it  bc they can biopsy  it then  god for bid its not good you are one step a head ..
