Question:

Lump on outer thigh?

I have a lump on my outer thigh of my right let. It started about a year ago as a small lump but has now grown in size to about the size of a 50 pence piece. Its kinda soft, but I am getting small amounts of pain when I walk (this could be down to a back problem I have). Does anyone have any idea of what it could be? Should I be worried? Thanks

  1. My guess is that it is just a cyst.  (Nothing harmful).  I have a friend who has one on her arm.  It has gotten bigger over the years and the doctor said whenever she is ready they can remove it.  Go in and get it checked out just to be on the safe side.

  2. Don't be worried, it's likely to be an ingrown follicle, or a cyst, get a doctor to examine it for you, but because it's painful, i am pretty sure it's an ingrown hair.
