Lunar Deity all set for the Talk To Victor Handicap
Eight three-year and above runners have gained themselves a spot in the line-up of the Class 4 Talk To Victor Handicap. They will race over five furlongs and 213 yards for getting entitled to the £4,075 prize money that will be offered to the winner at Brighton
on Monday, 17th September.
Only the five-year-old, Interakt, has been active at the same race course in her last two starts. None of the two could result in success and the bay mare might just be successful in the test today through her third straight try at Brighton.
Rakti’s daughter has finished second and then fourth in her last two attempts at the same race course.
The Join 888Sport, Get £88 In Free Bets! Handicap on 9th August, 2012 at Brighton over 5 ½ furlongs, had her finishing second. Entered as the favourite, the bay mare missed the race by the margin of 1 ¾ lengths.
The Joseph Tuite trained chased the leader for over two furlongs out, but could not handle the pressure that she had to undergo inside the final furlong.
The race was won by, Peter Island, who was ridden by, Darryll Holland.
Owned by Heart Of The South Racing, Interakt, ended fourth in the Rolland Gorringe Fillies’ Handicap on 7th September, 2012 at Brighton over six furlongs.
The 7 to 1 entry for the race will race out from the third post.
An endangering candidate to take down is the three-year-old, Lunar Deity. Medicean’s bay gelding has not raced at Brighton before, but was highly impressive in his very last attempt at Epsom.
The favourite entry downed the Bfwines.Co.Uk Handicap on 27th August, 2012 at Epsom over six furlongs.
The three-year-old was paired up with, Jimmy Fortune, and the duo won the race by the margin of 1 ½ lengths.
The two could not stay prominent throughout the race, and progressed only when there were last two furlongs to cover. Staying strong in the final furlong got him taking down the field of nine.
Backed by a recent success coupled with 11 to 4 odds along with the companionship of jockey, Richard Hughes, there is not much that should keep him away from the wire for long.
