  1. I agree with most of the answers.  You should be asking him/her what they want in their lunch, then make him/her prepare it.  However, I bought my lunch in high school.  No one ever brought their lunch.

  2. Most 15-year-olds buy lunch or just ask them they aren't 5 anymore

  3. You ask him what he wants and go from there....

  4. a 15 year old should be making his own

  5. he should be making his own. so ask him what he wants and buy it for him, and he can prepare it.  provided he eats a good breakfast, he should have a main course like a sandwich/wrap/left-overs, some veggies + dip like carrots, brocolli, cherry tomatoes, or peppers (whatever he chooses), a fruit like grapes, banana... whatever he likes, something sweet/filling (but nothing too junky like chocolate bars) try granola bars, homemade muffin/cookies, or cereal bars.  A juice box and a bottle of water.

  6. With a 15-year-old I would be talking to them about what makes a healthy meal, and allow them to select (and make) their own lunch as long as it's nutritionally balanced.  So make sure they know they need a protein food, a carb, and a fruit or veggie without a lot of sugar or salt, and then as long as it meets those requirements it should be up to them.

  7. Ummmmm... 15 year olds are SUPPOSED to make their own considering they would be a SOPHOMORE whoever it is should grow up! and not use a lunch box for crying out loud! get rid of those by 5th grade.

  8. Same stuff as for younger kids only get the larger boxes from the store of chips; cookies; crackers; whatever; and put as many as he/she will probably eat in ziplocs rather than getting individual sacks.

You can put greens; tomatoes; cucumbers; in a little gladware container then have a tiny container of dressing plus snack size ziploc with croutons and bacon bits to put on at the time of eating. To make it a full meal you can put in strips of cheese and lunchmeat and crumbs of hardboiled egg to make it a chef salad.

Wraps -- spread tortillas with cream cheese and put on lunchmeat; cheese; lettuce shreds with ranch dressing. You could make a Hawaiian one with ham; swiss; shredded pineapple.

Make up a container of egg; tuna; ham; chicken salad and include a ziploc of whole grain crackers for dipping or a knife for spreading.

One day or weekend you can make up lots of loaves of banana; pumpkin; zucchini bread -- slice and freeze. Then you can throw a slice or two of that in as well for more nutrition and yumminess.

Leftover roast mixed with mashed potatoes OR spaghetti and sauce; OR mac&cheese OR chili warmed up in the morning and put in a thermos container.

    Cereal bars

Clean and reuse water bottles. Freeze a bottle overnight and put it in for cold refreshing ice water at noon.

Works for Crystal light; iced tea; the occasional kool-aid also -- at least it will hydrate them.

Put chocolate milk in the freezer for an hour right before they leave for school -- it should stay cold until lunch.

This way they have it out of a gallon container or whatever instead of paying $0.50 a half pint which is what milk will cost at my kids` school this year.

  9. lunch money   lol

  10. they would probably  prefer to buy lunch.

  11. In ours (for ages 7- 14) we include - crisps and a small biscuit bar (ie kitkat, penguin) a piece of fruit and a snack box of raisens, a sandwich or filled pitta bread (we use the 50/50 bread so the kids cant complain about brown bread which they hate and i dont feel bad for giving them white bread which I hate them having) and a yogurt (either a pot or a frube - those ones in a tube so you dont have to bother with spoons).  We also include a bottle of sugar free juice or water.  The younger primary school kids also get some money to buy milk at school if they wish too.

  12. crisps , drink, chocolate bar ,apple and maybe a a healthy sandwhich, salad or cheeese anything really =]

  13. Nothing. A 15 year old should br packing his/her own lunch.
