Lunch for Breakfast?!?

I really dont feel like eating typical breakfast foods this morning. How does this sound?

An english muffin with nonfat yogurt cheese (that was the breakfast part), hot sauce, turkey, tomato and lettuce.

Do you really need to eat "breafast foods" for breakfast? This meal sounds more like lunch. I guess I can drink orange juice to make it more breakfasty, hahaha. Oh and also, do you think this breakfast has enough protein?

  1. To each his/her own. I would think that breakfast and supper are backwards. I like to eat a heavier/heartier meal when I am getting ready to go and do stuff and eat lighter at night (like breakfast food or cereal) before I go to bed. I don't sleep well on a full stomach.

It sounds delicious!  The important thing about breakfast is that you eat it, (the pyramid of food groups) to get your body going, to give you nutritional fuel for the day, to decrease your metabolism by eating soon after when you wake up, to increase your body's energy.  Most people are under the illusion that to lose weight, you need to eat less.  The thing is, you need to fuel your body for your activity level throughout the day to keep you going and tapper off when your activity level is slower, as in the evening.  Balance is the key, so no matter what crazy hours you work, start your day by fueling up with dairy, fruits, proteins and fiber, breakfast, lunch or dinner items, in moderation and portion control, then adjust your intake as your activity level demands and lessen the caloric intake as your day winds down.  So, enjoy that "non-traditional" breakfast that you described, we are not a country of "sheeps" following the social norms.  Happy Labor Day Weekend to you!

  4. I've heard that it's better to eat dinner in the morning for breakfast rather than breakfast because it allows you to burn the calories throughout the day.

    but for your protein dilemma, whole grains are a perfect source of protein. But only get whole grain products that say whole grain and not enriched, they're not the same. At stop & shop there's this whole grain, high protein, bread that you can get. I ran out yesterday and through out the bag so I can't remember what brand it is. sorry.

  5. Its okay ! You can eat anything you want to for breakfast. I particularly like to eat leftovers from last night's dinners.

  6. I don't like to eat breakfast. I only drink milk . This breakfast has protein but we cannot always eat. Not good for healthy.

  7. Just as long as you have some protein and some sort of fruit or Juice for  your vitamins I say anything is fine.

  8. you can eat breakfast food anytime of day. there have been times i have eaten breakfast foods at dinner/supper time.

    the breakfast you mentioned above has enough protein.

  9. you can eat whatever types of food whenever you want, theres no rules..between the yogurt cheese and turkey, it has enough protein

  10. Yeah I'm not a breakfast food person either so I usually have PB&J as weird as it sounds.
