Lunch table help please?

Question

im a freshman and my 1st day of school was today. I asked to sit with these people who were really nice. They're sophmore's tho so it's a little weird. They made a little convo but of course wanted to reunite with friends since it was the 1st day. They also said i could sit with them tomorrow.

Any ideas on how to keep a convo going or something??

ask about how school was for freshman year and ask how they like high school and if they do a sport like cheer hope this works

Only talk about things you know about, listening isn't so bad. As far as keeping conversation going, um mm, lets see, um mm, got it...you do something really embarrassing and they'll talk about you all day. Good luck in school kid.

talk to them about something you both have in common - being freshman. They were there last year. Ask them questions to make them feel like they are wise and helping you out. Ask what teachers they had or if they have any advice on how to deal with Mr...whoever. Ask them if they feel different being sophomores.
