The Bulls hasn't offered Deng a contract as of yet and he is getting frustrated. The Jazz and the Heats are very intrested in getting him. Could we see him on a next team in this upcoming season or will he still be on the Bulls? What team do you think should try and get him? I would say the Knicks, he want money and they got plenty of it.

  1. sounds like he is a goner

  2. Knicks don't want to commit to anything yet because they want LeBron in 2010, hence why they don't want to commit anyone to a contract for longer than 2 years.  Deng would be a good fit in most any team I think, not sure where exactly he'd end up, but I think it wouldn't be hard to find suitors for a player of his talents and abilities.  I'd be interested in seeing how he fit into Portland or something, or he might be part of the rebuilding for the Kings when they get rid of Artest.

  3. I am a jazz fan and would love to see Deng join team.

  4. I recommend Paxson to settle the issue asap.

Over the last few days we have heard of something unusual - Carlos Delfino moved to Russian emerging power Khimki FC by signing a 3-year, 10 million contract; Bostjan Nachbar set to Dynamo Moscow for a 3-year, 14.3 million contract, and I have yet to mention Jorge Garbajosa, Juan Navarro, Pops Mensah-Bonsu, or even Brandon Jennings, and potentially, Josh Childress (he has a rumoured 3-year, 20 million contract offered by Greek powerhouse Olympiakos).

Other than financial issue, these players have a common idea that European teams can be as good as NBA teams. For Luol Deng, he should even be a bigger threat in European system and I don't see any reason why not he should go to European powerhouse for money (and I strongly believe his contract offer should be more lucrative than Childress).

So any NBA team other than Bulls can sign Deng? I doubt Knicks would be one of them despite they can throw in young players like Nate Robinson, Renaldo Balkman and David Lee in the mix; Grizzlies should have been keeping the wallet tight; Heat willobviously offer the Matrix but the deal could be more complex than we think. That leaves Jazz to be a possible destination should they set to trade Carlos Boozer.

  5. I think the Heat will get him.  They need to build because of their awful season next year.  I've heard rumors about LeBron going to NY after his contract is over so I don't think they'll sign Luol (if they do just 1 or 2 years).

  6. The Chicago Bulls will sign Luol Deng to a long term contract.  Reports indicate that Deng is frustrated, but the two sides are still in professional communication.  Luol Deng wants to stay in Chicago and is fond of Vinny DelNegros offensive game plan.

What the bulls need to do is give Deng his money and do a sign and trade with Ben Gordon, who is  a one-dimensional player anyway...Bulls can't afford Deng and Gordon.
