Luol Deng leads the Chicago Bulls to an 83-75 win over the Milwaukee Bucks – NBA Recap
The Chicago Bulls defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 83-75 on Saturday night at Bradley Centre. Luol Deng scored 19 points and Joakim Noah made a great comeback with 17 rebounds. After beating the Bucks they have put the pressure back
on the leaders of the Eastern Conference - Miami Heat and Boston Celtics.
Bucks led the first quarter by four points 21-25. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute led the Bucks attack and made 10 points. From Bulls Derrick Rose, Noah and Deng contributed 6 points each.
With the start of the second section begins the real fight for the victory. First Bulls made the spurt and tied the scores 29-29 with Ronnie Brewer’s layup in the seventh minute and then hit a free throw to put the Bulls ahead
of Bucks 30-29.  Bulls stayed in lead until 2:33 minutes 38-37, but they kept the Bucks close. This gave Bucks the chance to snatch the lead from the Bulls and which they did with Carlos Delfino’s driving layup making it 38-39. Carlos Boozer hit a free throw
just 42 seconds before the section ends to make it even. Both teams made 39 points each at the close of the first half.
After the first half, both teams fought well in the first four minutes play of the third segment. Until Boozer came in the action again and hit six points in exactly sixty seconds play, giving his team a lead of four points 53-49.
Then the Bulls capitalized and stretched the lead. Bulls led the third segment by 11 points 70-59.
Bulls were sailing in the fourth part, until John Salmons hit a 26-foot three point shot to reduce the Bulls' lead to 78-72 with 3:56 minutes remaining. But Rose then flock the lane and provided Kyle Korver the assist, who then
hit a 26-foot three point jumper and made it 81-72. After Andrew Bogut made a free throw, Korver hit another jumper for the Bulls with 2:21 minutes remaining and put the game away from the Bucks.
Deng was the winner high, he also had five rebounds and three assists. His teammate Rose added 17 points. Noah scored 8 points, provided two assists, steals one and blocked three. It was Noah's third game after his right thumb
surgery. "We are getting into a nice rhythm now that everyone is back," Rose said. "Noah has come back and really helped us. I think we can get nothing but better as the season goes along."
Carlos Boozer scored 13 points for the Bulls, which helped in changing the pace of their game. Bulls will now go on a important five game road trip.
Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said: "I like our team. Every night you get it from somebody different. Both units are playing well right now. We still have to clean some things up, but I think the consistency is there now."
Mbah a Moute made a season high 16 points and Salmons hit 14 for the Bucks. Bucks hit just eight out of 23 shots in the third part. Bucks coach Scott Skiles was amazed with Noah's vigour and his impressive play in the first two
quarters. "I don't know if I've ever seen that," Skiles said. "I didn't play with Wilt Chamberlain."
