Luuk de Jong expressed his delight on joining Gladbach this summer and admitted that it is the next big step in his career. The striker is keen to establish himself as a first team player at the club and wants to prove his mettle
in the German Bundesliga.
The Dutchman admitted that it was a difficult decision to leave Twente, but insisted that the prospect of playing in the UEFA Champions League and in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 made a lot of sense. He is targeting a successful debut season at the
club and is looking forward to the challenge.
“I'm very pleased to be at Borussia. It took quite a while for the deal to be ironed out and I had actually started training with Twente. Now I'm looking forward to training with the team and getting the new campaign under way,”
he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The 21-year old stressed that Borussia Monchengladbach’s style of play suits him and the player is confident that he will be able to continue his impressive goal scoring form at his new club as well.
“The club developed really well last season and finished fourth in the league. It was always my ambition to play in the Bundesliga, but also for a team that plays attractive football, and Borussia is an attractive team. I want
to improve as a player and the Bundesliga is the ideal league for that,” he concluded.
