  1. I am an American who lived in Spain for four years in the late 80's. I really enjoyed it. The schedules were different for pretty much everything. Much more comfortable as has already been said. Getting work, for me, was easy. People ARE more laid back, probably because they do have more time to relax and people are more willing to help each other out. There was more time to smile. Money wasn't always an issue. Trade and barter was alot more acceptable. Before I spoke Spanish, People had alot of patience for me. They often have more of a capacity for other languages due to the different dialects in different regions and so many smaller countries sitting right next to each other.

I really wish I could just go back and stay!!

  2. life style in Spain

  3. What has already been said should answer your question, unless you mean literally what does "lifestyle in Spain" mean. Well it would simply mean "how do people live in Spain/what is their life in Spain like". Traditions, school, work, holidays, routines/habits etc....

    Hope this helps!

  4. Maybe our timetables are quite different from the rest of Europe. For example:

school hours are generally from 9 to 2 pm for primary and 8.30 to 2.30 pm for secondary education. There´s a half an hour break or two shorter breaks; we eat after school lessons have finished.

office hours are from 9 am to 1.30 pm; break for lunch (3 hours) and then reopen from 4.30/5 to 8.30 pm. The same for shps; department stores open from 10 am to 10 pm.

lunch: it´s our main meal and it includes 3 courses. Also, our diet includes a lot of olive oil, fresh fruit and vegatables and legumes. Food is incredibly varied.people are quite open, imaginative and generous. We work for living, not the opposite. I know many European and American people who live for working.

climate: mainly in the south and east of Spain, the weather is quite nice and allows you to stay in the open for long hours.

Well, I don´t know if some of these things answer your question; I hope it will have helped. Anyway, come to Spain and you´ll discover what our lifestyle means!!
