Lyla expected to dominate the Carling Maiden Stayers Trophy
Lyla is expected to dominate proceedings in the Carling Maiden Stayers Trophy at Nottingham in England on Monday, April 16, 2012. The winner of the 680 metres flat race will be awarded a cash prize of £150.
Six quality runners have lined up for action for the Grade OR event, which is scheduled to start at 18:44 GMT. Their names are as follows: Lyla, Au Naturale, Carrowkeal Rex, Mill Lorenzo, Tuftys Dilemma and Magna Jennie.
Looking at the record of all participants, the bookmakers have favoured Lyla for today’s race. She is not in good form at the moment, thus the punters might not risk money in her favour.
The P. White’s trained b***h had been performing consistently some time ago and was winning races regularly. However, her recent form has dipped to some extent and she will need some luck to finish on top of the table today.
In her most recent race at Nottingham, Lyla failed to challenge her rivals, as she finished fourth overall. She was not the favourite to win that event and did not manage to spring up any surprises against the odds.
Despite that, the brindle b***h has very good chances to fight for victory today. She is the daughter of Si Senor out of Trim Native and was born in May 2009.
Another participant, who can make a solid impression at Nottingham, is Au Naturale. He has been running quite regularly at this venue, thus will have complete knowledge of the track conditions.
The G. Gray’s trained hound finished fourth in his most recent race, as he was unable to challenge the rest of the runners. He will need a much better effort in order to prevail at Nottingham today. He is the son of Tyrur Ted out of Natural Energy
and was born in February 2008.
Other than the top two favourites, Carrowkeal Rex will also be the one to watch out for in the race, as he is in good form. He has been delivering some decent results recently, thus the punters will be risking some money in his favour as well.
It will not be an easy race for the remaining participants. However, Mill Lorenzo, Tuftys Dilemma and Magna Jennie are all capable of causing an upset.
