Lymes diesase in the family?

Lately my family (mom,grandmom, and myself) havent been feeling very well. My mom went to the doctor and they found that she has lymes disease. My mom has no idea when she even had a tick on her. We think we got it from being outside or maybe the dogs carried it in. All of us have the same symptoms. I don't know if we all have come in contact with a tick carrying it (I had a tick on me but it wasnt a deer tick) or if it might be an underlying cold or something.

If you will read about lyme disease you will find that you can get it from other biting bugs other than ticks, also it is sexually transmitted, tranfered from mother to fetus and even found in breast milk.  Could it be west nile since you said its like a cold maybe? (severe headaches would happen if its west nile)
