New Street, Lymington

Can someone tell me when - approximately - this street was built? I have looked for it on the 1891 census, but it doesn't exist - although New Lane and New Park did.

  1. I would imagine that it was built sometime in the early 1900's have you checked the 1901 census for it. I have found four sites that I think you may find quite useful. The first one being the council web site for Lymington. The second link has a house (Hawthorne House.) listed on New street as being c.19 this is what leads me to believe the early 1900's.

    Hope this helps.

Edit: I have just done a search on www.ancestry.co.uk  in the 1901 census, New Street is actually listed as being in Enumeration district 2.

Do you have membership to ancestry, if not if you would like to email me I can share the image with you.
