Lynn Kenny determined to do her best at Archerfield
Scottish Lynn Kenny appears to be in great form, as she has vowed to do her best at the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open, slated to be played from May3-5, at Archerfield Links in East Lothian.
Kenny recently talked to the media about what she is planning for the upcoming battle at Archerfield.
Kenny spoke at length about her strategy about the tournament, saying she has been training hard on the practice range, which has helped her gain confidence and the much-needed skills.
Kenny will be joined by competent LET (Ladies European Tour) players, which include the defending champion Catriona Matthew, Kylie Walker, Carly Booth, Karen Lunn, Lindsey Wight, Melissa Reid, Laura Davies, Helen Alfredsson and others.
Since the Scottish star hails from Dunblane and has known the course, Archerfield, well, she appears to be in a comfortable position when it comes to the crowd and the holes.
She said that she had been having some fitness issues, which were taking a serious toll on her performance.
She added that has recovered from her health-related problems, and is now more confident than ever before.
"I have been home for the last month or so, and that has given me a great chance to work on my fitness and my game.  I went down to Archerfield as often as I could to play around the Fidra course," the star golfer said.
When asked what she thinks about the course, Kenny said that she likes Archerfield, as she usually trains there.
"The course is really looking good.  It's had another year to mature and in the sunshine, it is just magnificent.  The greens are looking good, and I can see where they are growing out the rough for the event".
The Dunblane resident said that she is hopeful that the weather will stay calm, as this is what will help her post a good score. However, she was keen to point out that she is well versed in playing in grim weather as well.
The Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open is going to feature a strong 70-player field that will also include several celebrities like former English cricketers Darren Gough and Michael Vaughan.
In addition, Brendan Cole, a famous ballroom dancer from New Zealand, will also be gracing the event.
