Lynton Biffo clinches victory in the 400m Grade A1 race
The M. E. Wiley trained dogs had an impressive run in the 400 metres Grade A1 race at Romford on Saturday, January 21, 2012. Both of them nabbed the top two places with Lynton Biffo winning the event and the cash prize of £135.
This was a second consecutive victory for Lynton Biffo at Romford, and he will definitely get a much better starting price next time.
He has been in an impressive form, and the bettors will invest a lot more on him in the future.
The winning greyhound entered the race from trap number three, and covered the total distance in 24.36 seconds. He got off to a good start and showed good stamina till the end of the race.
Lynton Biffo is the son of Premier Fantasy out of Believable Jo and was born in November 2007.
Second place was taken by Cavies Biffo, who gave a tough time to the race winner. He just fell 0.04 seconds adrift of the triumphant dog, and completed the overall distance in 24.40 seconds, after popping out from trap number four.
Cavies Biffo had a similar starting to the first placed hound, but he managed to take the runner up spot in the end.
The M. E. Wiley trained dog is the son of Droopys Maldini out of Cavies Lil, and was born in September 2008.
Hazeldene Dan, trained by A. J. Ingram, took the third place by just a head’s margin. He ran really well and could have been at the top of the table, but luck was not on his side at the end of the day.
The third placed dog also had a starting price of 5 to 1, and he entered the race from trap number five, covering the distance in 24.42 seconds.
Hazeldene Dan is the son of Yeah Man out of Chloes Dream, and was born in April, 2008.
Your The Tops, who was the least favourite to make an impression in the race, finished in fourth. He is trained by D. Mullins, and is the son of Honcho Classic out of Cooly Pantera, born in May 2008.
The final two places went to Miami Maeve and Greensted Dream. The latter of the two was the favourite to win with a starting price of 7 to 2, but was unable to live up to his reputation.
Overall, the race was pretty much exciting, as there was very little gap between the top three finishers.
