Question:

Lynx clubs?

I was swinging a set of Lynx irons at my local Golfsmith and they felt pretty good...just as good as some Cleveland or Cobra iron sets I tried. I am a little worried as to why then are Lynx clubs so much cheaper at Golfsmith? Is there something inherently lousy in them which I don;t know about? Did the company go out of business? Or is it possible that the lynx iron sets may hit just as good as Callaway or Cleveland and they are simply cheaper?

Thanks!

  1. Two brands that Golfsmith manufactures are Snake Eyes and Lynx.   (I prefer the first one since I got the wegde and it's working way beyond expectation)

It's cheap because they are the direct manufacture.   No distribution margin.

  2. if u swing them and hit them just as good as cleavland or cobra clubs then get da lynx

  3. I know for a fact Lynx golf clubs are pretty good because GlobalGolf.com sells them. They don't sell Top Flite, RAM, Dunlop or any other cheap brands so I'm assuming, if you see Lynx selling at GlobalGolf, you're buying a good brand golf clubs. The other brand I never heard of but only knew after visiting Global Golf is Nickent.

The bottomline is, if it feels good to you, and the price is reasonable, get it adjusted and fitted. It's a good buy if you buy it at Golfsmith.

  4. They are good clubs and the only reason they are cheaper are because Lynx is Golfsmith's own brand.
