In an exclusive interview with French newspaper Le Progres, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has talked about club’s possible summer targets.
Aulas has revealed that Lyon are about to complete a loan deal for Clement Chantome who currently plays for Paris Saint-Germain.
Lack of first-team football has forced the Frenchman to seek his future somewhere else. Lyon are huge admirers of the youngster and are keen to take advantage of the situation. Although, the Rhone club is unable to buy Chantome because of the hefty fee PSG
want for the player, a loan deal could be the best possible solution for both parties.
“Chantome is an excellent player. The loan is possible because I have excellent relations with PSG,” Aulas revealed.
Apart from Chantome, Aulas disclosed that they are very much interested in Dijon’s talented midfielder Benjamin Corgnet, who has attracted a lot of interest from several Ligue 1 clubs in recent times.
“We have been following Benjamin Corgnet for two years, I am hopeful about signing him.”
Lyon President said that club’s scouts are courting several Brazilian players and his advisor Bernard Lacombe is in Brazil for that purpose solely.
