Lyric Ace favourite for Windsor Castle Stakes
Lyric Ace is expected to prevail in the Windsor Castle Stakes (Listed Race) at Ascot in England on Tuesday, June 19, 2012. A cash prize of £31,191 will be awarded to the winner of the class-1 event.
The track conditions will be good to soft in the 5 furlong event, which is scheduled to start at 17:35 GMT.
A total of 23 runners have been attracted towards it and their names are as follows: Lyric Ace, Pay Freeze, Smoothtalkinrascal, Dylanbaru, Parliament Square, Alhebayeb, Bungle Inthejungle, Liber, Ajmany, Ask Dad, Hototo, Cosmic Chatter, Polski Max, Tommy´s
Secret, Trinityelitedotcom, Pixilated, Pearl Noir, Fletcher Christian, Mossgo, Top Notch Tonto, Marvelino, Jackpot and Little Miss Zuri.
Most of the participants are inexperienced at this level and it will be difficult to predict the winner accurately. However, the conditions seem to be favourable for Lyric Ace, who has been delivering some decent results recently. The punters will definitely
be risking a lot of bets on him today.
The two-year-old colt does not have a lot of experience, as he has just participated in three events. However, he has managed to win a couple of them whereas finished fourth once. He was unable to finish in the top three on his debut, but improved his performances
afterwards.
The Richard Hannon’s trainee has won two back to back races, thus his confidence will be sky high. He will be chasing a hat-trick of victories, but will need to be at his absolute best in order to do so. He will be ridden by veteran jockey, Richard Hughes,
who has enjoyed a lot of success at this level and has got a decent strike rate. He will be looking forward to a solid run at Ascot today.
On the other hand, Pay Freeze will also be one of the top contenders for victory, as he has got an impressive record. He finished runner up on his debut by just a half length, but proved everyone that he was capable of fighting at the front.
The two-year-old colt finished first in his most recent run by five lengths, which shows that he is carrying a very good momentum at the moment.
