  1. I doubt the lysol is solely responsible for her getting cancer.

  2. No, I don't use it because that stuff stinks. Sorry to hear about your friend.

  3. OMG! i use it everyday and spray my little girls room with it!

  4. The stuff is not supposed to be used topically.  You are supposed to wear gloves and not breathe the fumes.  Lysol is a brand name of a bunch of products by Drackett-Benkster.  The products I looked at on this site are not listed as carcinogens.  Where are your facts?

  5. I do use it when it is appropriate.  I think we use harsh chemical cleaners too widely when they aren't necessary.  I use organic/natural cleansers when I can for everyday cleaning.  Usually some kind of soap and water cleanup is what you mostly need, and for scrubbing some baking soda with soap or even a little vinegar does the job.

For something extremely gross or when someone is very sick, however, I have no worries and no guilt about digging out the Lysol or a bleach based cleaner.  A meat drawer in which meat juice has leaked out and hardened, a bathroom that is being used by a very sick person, cleaning up urine, p**p or vomit, or just someplace that has grime that ordinary scrubbing with soap and water won't fix gets the chemicals, and I am grateful to have them.

I have never heard of skin cancer from chemicals.  Skin burns, yes, but not skin cancer.

  6. yeah, right. i HIGHLY doubt lysol gave your friend cancer. lysol is the best cleaning product i know of. i use it everyday, and i love it. the kind i use has NO harsh chemicals and cleans lovely.

  7. How can she be sure it was just the Lysol that caused it?

Sue the Lysol company and they will laugh you out of the courtroom.

  8. I gargle with it. No cancer yet.

  9. That's was probably from bleaching her hair so often and all of the makeup, and not the Lysol.

I think that first person is confusing Lysol with Listerine. It's really not a good Idea to gargle with Lysol.
