While pundits are usually quick to sing praises when a certain player is doing well, in the case of M’Vila, the hype seems to be justified, with France coach Laurent Blanc also getting in the on the act.
Furthermore, interest from the continent’s elite seems to have put the rumour mill in full swing. But surely with the kind of displays the 21-year-old has churned out, his burgeoning talent has become undoubted and indeed warrants a switch to bigger club.
This was the opinion of Marcel Desailly, who told reporters that either Manchester United or Arsenal should sign the youngster, as he has the potential to become one of the best in the game.
“He needs to come to the Barclays Premier League. We want him in this competition because it is the best, first of all, and he can really develop his skills. It is for players who like to play with tempo. Arsenal is probably a stable club where he can have
a bit of time or [Manchester] United where he has time to assimilate the changing of clubs and start slowly to perform.”
He also claimed that if he had the authority to sanction a transfer for the player, he would not hesitate in doing so despite the hefty price tag placed on his coveted services.
“I would just say that if I was the chairman of a Premier League club I would just close my eyes and put the figure on the cheque to get him. Because he is really the future. The talent is there. It is obvious,” Desailly said.
United and Arsenal do indeed reinforcements but the Gunners have the upper hand on their rivals due to the French presence at the Emirates, making a summer swoop to London more likely than a one to Manchester.
However M’Vila will cost cash and lots of it, considering that most of Europe has their sights on the next big French sensation.
