Are there any big M.A.C. make-up users out there that know a lot about the brand and the different foundations?? I want to change to their line because I have heard that it is really good!!

About my skin: I have sensitive oily skin!! I also have a bit of an issues with chicken pox scars and marks left from pimples (still in my teens so hormones are causing acne right now!!) So i need good coverage!!

I have bought the Studio Fix powder plus foundation..would this work well for my skin?? Has anyone used it and has broken out from it??

Thanks to everyone!!

  1. MAC, has a great line! just be-careful not to over apply it! You should use a good mineral based make up! since you have breakout issues. your skin needs to breath.  And use a good scar cream to help lessen the appearance of your scars.

  2. you can use studio fix for everyday wear but i prefer to use a brush rather than the sponge it comes with.

  3. I dont really know much about makeup but my wife usually buys all her makeup from this company in the internet called Artistry. I've done some research on this brand and its said that its way better than all the other leading companies. The reason why nobody really knows about it its because the company doesnt do advertisement. You should check it out they have some really neat stuff the website is..

  4. M.A.C is a really good makeup brand.

It lasts practically all day long, but people that use M.A.C. tend to break out more.

Estee Lauder is the same thing as M.A.C. and they're owned and created by the same person and the difference b/w the both is that Estee Lauder doesn't make you break out and there makeup is more on the lay low.

  5. NO NO NO that is heavy duty makeup for models and photos only NOT for everyday wear!!!   a good clean pure makeup is what you need not something heavy that will clog your pores esp. if you are oily!

smashbox would be better for you it has great coverage and is oil-free also a light moisturizer that is oil free (neutrogena makes a few really good ones!) for underneath to help curb the oil and de-slick by urban decay on top of your foundation to absorb any excess oil during the day

neutrogena also makes a cleanser called rapidclear oil control it's a light foaming cleanser in a tube that is gentle and absorbs all the oil right off so you feel squeaky clean all day ( they note that is is for acne-prone skin as well!)

  6. Honestly i love MAC but i would not use their foundation for sensitive skin. It made me break out. I would try bare minerals it is so much better for your skin....Good luck

  7. Studio Fix is great!! if you want full coverage you might want to try studio fix fluid, it has full coverage to give you a flawless look. As for the skin problems? try concealer for the scars and start using an oil control lotion and prep+prime skincare before you apply foundation. This will prevent oil breakthrough (trust me, it works) soon you'll start noticing a difference in the texture of your skin. If youve never used MAC before you might break out (it is proffesional makeup designed to withstand anything) but thats normal, just give your skin time to adjust to the change and it will calm down (i promise), if you still notice breakthrough oil you might want to try a mineral based powder foundation (also available at MAC), it will give you a matte finish (and isnt quite as thick as studio fix) but should help improve oily skin. good luck!

  8. do not listen to the girl who says not for everday. i am a huge mac fan and only where mac or nars makeup i use nw25 concelar in a lil paint pot like the eye shadows come in and it works wonders then i apply a lil bronzer and blush and it looks great im sure you dont need foundation only cover up you can even go to mac aand let them try all diff ones on you! hope i helped
