M A Wallis is all set to send Blonde Fletch in the St Leger quarter-finals, for the purse
On the 23rd of September, blaze will break out on the Wimbledon Stadium’s 787 meters race track, when the doors of the traps will open up and release the warriors for the St Leger Quater-Finals.
All the trainers who have been fortunate enough to participate in the race are portraying a picture of victory that they will get a chance to stand out throughout the competition when their hounds win the purse in the Williamhill.com St Leger Finals.
Likewise, trainer M A Wallis is also expecting quite a lot from his young champ, Blonde Fletch.
The black dog, despite giving a hit in the first round of the St Leger Heats, is expected to show more perfection in his speed and skills of racing by trainer M A Wallis.
While discussing his hound’s performance for the upcoming race, Wallis said, “He wasn’t spectacular, but did it well. I think he was feeling his two quick previous runs. We’ll recharge him over the next few days, and he’ll be 110 per cent for the quarterfinals
on Friday”.
In the race, as a 10/11 F, Blonde Fletch quite impressively railed through the lot of hounds, leading the race for 5 whole lengths.
Winning the purse is not enough for the trap 3 racer’s trainer, who thinks he should have come up with more speedy and swift act to get hold of the wire.
Previously, Blonde Fletch took 42.32 seconds to cover the defined distance for the quarter-finals. According to M A Wallis, he will enter the race with more promptness and velocity.
Tuesday’s draw has placed Blonde Fletch in Heat 3. The three-year-old will surge through trap 1 for M A Wallis.
Wearing red and white jacket, Blonde Fletch will start his chase for the purse, along with five other hounds, including P V Sawadden’s Wise Totty from trap 2 and Curragh Kewell, who managed to finish third in the first round for trainer B C G Fanous, from
trap 3.
Trap 4 will open its door for Kielduff Merc, who came third previously for C T Lynch, whereas trap 5 is reserved for the purse winner of heat 3, P Hennessy’s Barefoot Machine, who managed to finish in less time as compared to Blonde Fletch.
The last trap, trap 6, is all set for K R Hutton’s Penskey Rain, who came third in the last event.
Hopes are high and M A Wallis is keeping his fingers crossed, waiting for the moment when Blonde Fletch gives him a reason to push the boat out.
