What should I be studying for when I go to get my M1?

Did you take the Motorcycle Safety Class? If not, you should take that so you can skip the riding test. The classroom portion of the program will also help you prepare for what will be on the written test. When I took mine, I had to retake my other test as well. It took me completely by surprise. I hadn't needed to take it in about 15 years because they kept renewing it so I was totally unprepared. Fortunately I only missed 1. Would have been really embarrassing to have failed that one. Check with DMV to see if you will have to retake the tests for all of your endorsements. If you have a Class A and B you will have a lot of studying to do.

I took the test a few years ago and was surprised that it wasn't about rules of the road, like your regular car test, but about defensive driving and safety issues.  I missed one too many answers, but then the woman looked me up and said "You're a good driver. You didn't even have to take the test."

Anyway, read the manual and it will prepare you.  Some of that stuff, I'm not even really sure it's true, but everything on the test will have been in the manual.

go to ur states DMV website and they have motorcycle driving permit books and practice tests
