Question:

MA Tattoo Place who Tattoo's age 15?

I'm 15 and my mom said if we found a place that would tattoo me at this age that she would consent and let me get it done.

All I want is a nautical star on my wrist - nothing big.

If you know of one, could you help me out?

  1. Most places won't tattoo until your 16 (I live in Massachusetts) but you can try asking around at some places...Good luck!=)

  2. Massachusetts Tattoo Laws

Tattooing body of person by other than qualified physician; punishment

Whoever, not being registered as a qualified physician under section two of chapter one hundred and twelve, or corresponding provisions of earlier laws, marks the body of any person by means of tattooing, shall be punished by a fine of not more than three hundred dollars or by imprisonment for not more than one year, or both.

    HISTORICAL AND STATUTORY NOTES

    2000 Main Volume

    St.1957, c. 76, was approved Feb. 14, 1957.

St.1962, c. 214, approved March 12, 1962, rewrote the section, which prior thereto read:

"whoever marks the body of a person under the age of eighteen years by means of tattooing shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars

even if she wants to let you you CANT till you are 18yo

edit- wtf how can you give me a thumbs down for state law? lmao

  3. Check your state law. Most places you have to be 18, no and or buts about it. Some places, you can be 16 with a parent's permission. Don't go anyplace that is willing to violate state law, because if they don't mind breaking one law, they probably don't mind breaking others, and a badly done tattoo can give you serious, lifelong diseases (HIV, hepatitis) not to mention infections and an ugly tattoo. It's better to wait to get it done well. Also, do your research and find a good parlor.
