ok so im eligible to get my license on june 4th, but unfortunately i cant because road lessons are booked FOREVER. i really want to try to get my liscence as soon as possible because i want if for summer. my last road lesson is on like june 16th, which isnt too bad. but then my friend said i have to wait like 3 weeks for a certificate or something and then book my road test which will take another week or so because they will be booked. is there anyway that i can make the three weeks a lot less.. and am i allowed to schedule my road lesson now as long as ill be done with everything by the date i schedule it for? my cousin lives in CT and she did this, and i was wondering if i could too. like she still hasnt done her road lessons but has a road test date. thanks!

  1. According to Ma law you have to have held your learners permit for six months, be at least 16 1/2, had 30 hours of classroom instruction, 12 hours of actual driving, and an additional 6 hours of observation from the rear of the training vehicle(s), and yes you do have to wait for your certificate because you need proof that you completed either drivers ED or 40 total hours of instruction with your parent or guardian (this has to be certified on a Registry of Motor Vehicles form). you also have to have an additional 30 hours of driving instruction with your parent or guardian (40 hours if you didn't complete driver's ed), and your parent or guardian also has to have have completed a two hour driver's ed course. You must complete all these requirements before making an appointment for the road test. f you want more info about these laws, go to ask.com and put "MA driver licensing laws" in the search bar.
