Does MAC foundations make you breakout easily? I am going to the MAC story tomorrow and there were a few products I am looking at purchasing.

-Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 Foundation

-Mineralize Skin Finish

-Studio Fix Fluid

-Studio Finish Concealer

I would like to know how these products work, which ones I should and shouldnt buy. How they worked for you, ect.

Basically anything you know about them! =]

Please and & Thank youuu!

  1. I actually like Studio Fix pressed powder concealer the best of the M.A.C. products, but they all work pretty well.  I suggest you have them put some on you (If you call ahead they will give you a makeover for free).  If you break out, you can return it for a full refund.  However, I have never broken out from M.A.C and I have sensitive skin.  I use studio fix on a lot of my clients and have never had a problem

  2. DONT get the studio fix fluid. it wont make you break out but its very cakey and thick.

go for the satinfinish, it wont irritate your skin. the studio finish concealer is a good one for small areas of the face, just dont over do it as its pretty thick too.

  3. Studio Fix is the best foundation i've used from MAC, it didn't make me breakout at all.

But, that all depends on your skin.

  4. I have sensitive, oily, acne prone skin and no MAC product has ever made me break out. It makes a big difference if you have the right kind of face wash, toner, and moisturizer to begin with. Also... make sure you get all of your makeup off when you wash your face! Especially if you want to use heavy coverage foundations, you might want to try makeup remover wipes to get everything off before you go through your normal cleansing routine.

For a more natural look I would recommend the Mineralize liquid with the Mineralize Skin Finish pressed powder over it for a nice finish (it gives you a sort of glow, but nothing too shiney). The Mineralize loose powder foundation is great and EASY too! It's really lightweight and natural looking and doesn't even feel like you have makeup on!

Studio Fix fluid is going to provide more coverage, but you might want to try applying it with a special foundation brush rather than a sponge because sometimes it can look a little cakey. You can also try a primer under your foundation. MAC's Prep + Prime skin is great, and if you have oily skin you can try something that reduces oil and gives your skin a matte look before the makeup. Smashbox makes a great Anti-Shine primer.

Studio Finish concealer has a lot of texture to it so it's great for more coverage, but if you're using it for something like under eye coverage, you may want to try the liquid Select Cover-Up. It has practically no texture and is very easy to blend. It works pretty darn well to cover blemishes too.
