  1. It depends on how much coverage you want Mac is thick and will be more noticeable Benefit is lite and it blends in more for natural look.

  2. MAC Matte Bronzer -

What it Claims:  A lightly frosted, tinted powder that gives skin sheer, natural colour effects and highlights. Ideal for enhancing a skin tone or to accent or strengthen a tan. Skin-conditioning, long-wearing - and formulated to provide a smooth, even application on all skin types.

When it's put to the test -

Pros: Good for all skin types. It has no shimmer in it! The color is fairly dark but even if you have fair skin, you can wear it and look gorgeous! Goes with all skin tones.  It's a brown terracotta color...no orange on your face! The compact lasts a good 6 months (if your using it everyday). It has pretty good staying power...not all day or anything. Application is super easy.

Cons: Some have had an allergic reaction to this and broke out. Don't apply heavy or you will look like you have a skin disease.

    Shades (4): Refined Deeper Bronzer

                      Refined Golden

                      Golden

Matte Bronze (I think this is the one your talking about)

    Size of Product: 10g/0.30 oz

    Price: $21.00

    Benefit Hoola Bronzer -

What It Claims: This soft bronze matte powder gives your complexion a healthy, natural looking tan. Dust it lightly across cheeks, chin and forehead to bring the warm tan of the island to your skin and spirits. Use hoola for a year round healthy tan.

Pros: Voted "best bronzer for a vacation worthy glow" by Elle magazine in 2006. There is not a hint of orange in it, and it's also not so brown that it looks muddy, which can happen so easily with a lot of bronzers. You can use it anywhere on your body, shoulders, cheeks, forehead, chin, nose, legs, arms, ears, etc. Gives an entirely believable sun-kissed look. Good for combination, normal, or oily skin.

Cons: Not for fair skin. Do not apply with fingers, you should use a makeup brush, your foundation brush could work or if you already have a blush/bronzer brush you like. I wouldn't use this if you have dry to very dry skin or you are ance-prone. The little brush it comes with is no help!

    Shades (0):

    Size of Product: 11g/0.40 oz

    Price: $28.00

I would go with MAC Matte Bronzer. In my opinion, MAC is more trustworthy, their products are wonderful and the people that work at MAC are always helpful, nice, realistic, truthful, and they know what they're doing. I've never had a problem with MAC, I recently jsut splurged there haha. But I would definitely go with MAC! If you can, go to a MAC or Benefit counter and test for yourself, but MAC is the way to go.

Some other good bronzers you might like if those two don't work out for you: Sundressing by MAC, Bronze Goddess by Estee Lauder (I'm using this now), Cheek 2 Cheek Duo in Jamaica Me Crazy by N.Y.C (drugstore and price is so cheap!), Bronzer/Blush Compact Duo by Bobbi Brown, Mozaic Bronzer by Victoria's Secret, True Bronze pressed powder bronzer - Sunkissed by Clinique.

Hope you like and find your favorite bronzer! :)

  3. They are both good in my opinion. Both cost pretty much the same. But if it was me I'd go w/ the Matte Mac Bronzer just because nothing touches this face unless its 100% Mac :P

Benefit Hoola bronzer makes you look kinda orange imo and becareful not to over apply it.

  4. Well the Benifit Hoola Bronzer is good because it is easy to go on, and the brush is of very good quality. Although it has its advantages, it is still pretty expensive at about $26. And you also have to be careful because if you end up putting a little bit too much on, you might end up turning orange.

The MAC Matte Bronzer on the other hand, is great because you dont end up turning orange, and many people of fair skin tones have used it with no problems what so ever. It is also a fantastic bronzer because it is not shiny, so it makes you look like you have a natural skin tone. It is even cheaper than the Benifit Hoola Bronzer at about $20..

In my opinion you should definetly go for the MAC Matte Bronzer for an inexpensive great overall look.

  5. use neither use bare esssentails and the one i use is called a little sun. its a really good bronzer the hoola one is kinda like a blush to me any bare essentals ones are really good and its loose powder

  6. The MAC one is lighter and feels lighter on the skin, the bennifit one however is heavier on the skin and slightly darker. its not really the best for sweeping over our entire face its more for highlighting the cheekbones hence why its darker.

  7. MAC Refined Golden Bronzing Powder does amazing things to your cheekbones and gives a subtle shimmer without making u look orange.
