MAC OSX help?!!!!!!?

i want a certain file extension to be opened with a certain program

for example .psd file to be opened with photo shop instead of preview

i click open with > other > choose ps program >click on always open with > finally click open

all what i got is only the file that i did this on it is the only one the open automatically in photo shop but the other .psd files the open with preview and i have to do this again to every .psd file i open

is there a way to make all the files open in photo shop with out doing the same thing to every file to make it open with photo shop

  1. Simple solution. Select one of those .psd files (click once) then pressthe command-i keys to open the get info box for the file. You will see a choice mid way down the window that says "Open with:" and it will have a little pulldown menu below it. Choose the application you want it to open with in the menu. Then (IMPORTANT) below that there is a "Change All..." button. This button will enable you to open these files every time with the newly chosen application from now on.
