Question:

MAC question about iPhoto?

Okay, I have been adding more pictures to my computer from my camera and they all show up as events on iPhoto. And then when I click on photos in the library, some pictures from the same day are grouped together and then others are by themselves. Could anyone tell me how to change this and how to get rid of them as individual events?

  1. Drag & Drop is the easiest method. If you have 2 event's that are actually 1 event and you want to merge them together as 1 event - just drag and drop one of the vents ontop of the other event. It will ask you if you want to merge the 2 events - say yes.

Same goes for if you have 1 event that you want to break up into several events (maybe 1 day of pictures but several different activites that you took pictures at). One the event so that you can see all the pic's in that event. Highlight the pic's that you want to form a seperate event for - then cntrl+click on the highlighted pic's and tell it new event.

There is a great "iphoto" tutorial here - it explains all kinds of handy tips and tricks for working with iphoto & events. http://www.apple.com/findouthow/photos/  In the first column click the 2nd tutorial titled "organizing photo's using events".
