i wanna know if my macbook pro 15 inch intel core 2 duo COULD play HD DVDs on it???

my parents recently bought me a 25.5 inch samsung monitor (2693HM) which i believe is a High definition monitor?

how can i know if my monitor is a highdefinition one?

whats the difference between hd monitor and a regular lcd monitor?

i wanna know if my macbook pro could play if i rent highdefinition dvd on blockbuster or something.

and i never tried playing any high definition stuff on my monitor.

ohyeaa if i buy an HD dvd player / Blue ray dvd player.. can i watch it on my monitor? like full HD? like real HD? lol thanks again :)

    samsung 2693 hm is ready for all classes and formats of videos including 1080 p and hd

    as for ur mac book..u cna plug it into ur monitor safely  and it will play HD fine

    but heres a thought though .full HD is way too heavy for ne real use

    where will u store a 14 GB movie wihich runs only 2 hrs and its over?


  2. The current MacBook Pros do not have Blue Ray HD players in them. So no, you can't. You can play regular DVDs in it and the DVDs look quite good. Best bet is that you would be able to buy an internal Blue Ray player for your MacBook Pro in a month or two. They really drain battery life.

  3. if monitor supports 1080p, 1080i is not full HD

    ur laptop has no hd dvd drive, unless thats how u ordered it, they dont haev that option, should get a pc next time, more for less
