I am really satisfied with our performance today and we showed great morale and team chemistry. I think the reason we could not finish the third set is the fact that we are missing these situations in a match on regular basis in our league. With a little more
experience we might have taken our first points today.”
The first set of the match saw the guests struggle on the court and the Austrians were able to assert themselves backed by the enthusiastic support of the home crowd. Therefore, it was only a matter of time before the Innsbruck was the second set saw Banca
perform better and they were able to challenge their opponents by equalizing the match with a second set win.
The confidence generated by winning the previous set got the guests going at the start of the third set too but the Austrians were not ready to go down without putting up a fight that made the set uncertain until the end when the Banca were able to bag it.
The fourth set also saw tough competition between the two sides but the guests proved to be the better of the two as they won the frame.
The attack and the defence of the guests were both stronger than their opponents but the key factor in the win was their net play.
