Alright. People, I have a problem. I downloaded an HD episode from a show and watched it, naturally it was in very high quality. When I put it Sony Vegas to use it, It stayed in that quality, but sometimes the screen got extremely pixelated and grainy. And I tried an HD episode from the same show but that one was just fine. What's the problem here?

If you will post computer software related questions to the "Computer & Internet" forum, you will get more and better answers than here, in home theater. That's where the software experts primarily hang out. Answers on this forum to Sony Vegas software have not usually been very good!

  3. there is no way except converting the video i answered the same question for some people and i hop it help you too.

first of all if you cant use virtualdub (virtualdub doesn't support some video files) you have to find a video converter but if you can drag it in to virtual dub read the fallowing steps

step 1 (getting programs you need ) :

you need virtualdub and ffdshow video decoder

    get ffdshow here : http://mirror01.x264.nl/x264/ffdshow_rev...

    get virtualdub here: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/virtu...

you need some thing to set ffdshow options automaticly get it here :http://www.mediafire.com/?fvmdvgzxwzj

step 2 (installing programs): install ffdshow by choosing all the steps as default. for using virtualdub you don't need to install it . just extract it in a folder named "virtualdub" after all run ffdshow-MPEG-4 DivX.reg to set ffdshow configurations automaticall .

step 3 (using virtualdub) : drag your avi video in virtualdube . from video menu choose compression or simply press Ctrl+p . choose ffdshow from compression box and press ok . you have done ffdshow configuration automatically by runing ffdshow-MPEG-4 DivX.reg file, so you don't need to do it again. choose save as from file menu or press F7 button and save your file some where.

step 4 (ending): now you should be able to drag and import your video in to sony vegs . i'v set ffdshow compression options near Uncopmresd video so you should not have too much trouble whit quality . you can use sony vegas to compress it as much as you want
