  1. use a lighter eyeshadow from your lid to the eyebrow, then the outside vee of your eye use a darker shadow to play up your eyes. use liquid eyeliner to get more precision. mascera is key!use a conditioner on them first then a black one.

  2. make your eyeliner sharp for one, and instead of just drawing it out to make it look smoky, draw a thin line around your eye, widen it at the top corner, blend with a grey shadow, (top and bottom) and highlight your brow bone with an ivory or white shadow. a lot of blending makes for a good smoky eye.

  3. if you line your upper lash line with a charcoal color eyeliner & smudge it with a smudge brush & then add a lighter grey color in the crease it looks smokey, but make sure to blend all the harsh lines out & use a pearl white colored eyeshadow to highlight your eyebrow bone, inner crease, & tear duct :)

watch and look at these, I'm sure you will get how to do it.

    good luck!

  5. try using liquid eyeliner... its tricky though and grey or black eyeshadow (its easy to use and it definitely looks smokey eyed!!)

  6. Don't put it on the bottom, just do the top, make sure to sharpen your pencil each time.

Best thing to do is buy a cheapy brand and practice one day over and over until you get it done right.

I did this, bought cheapy drug store makeup and practiced and read online tutorials and books and I watch all those makeup shows and so on.

I won't lie- in the beginning it looked like a black eye when I was practicing- but now I put on my makeup so nice people are always asking me to do theirs or just complimenting my makeup.

  7. Its very simple actually.

    Just follow these steps.

Buy a good black eyeshadow like Stila Smudge pots.

Then use a good eyeliner brush like Mark eyeliner brush.

Use those two products to line your top lid in a very thin line.

Then take a larger eyeshadow brush to smudge the eyeliner

until you've reached the desired effect which is a smokey eye!

If you want real drama add false eyelashes from MAC and apply  coats of mascara like MAC zoomlash mascara.

You can also try applying some silver or gray eyeshadow in the corners of your eyes to pen them up a little.

    Hope i helped!!

  8. you can use a smudger or your probably putting on too much

  9. Liquid eyeliner at top, then pencil to the inside of your eye on bottom and a gray/black eyeshadow.

  10. use dark brown eyeshadow and draw a line in the crevice of your eye lid, also line your upper eye lashes with the dark brown to make an outline of your eyelid. fill it in with a lighter brown and use a brush to blend it in a little without making it all one color.

Also, you can make it more drastic by blending the dark brown outside the eyelid more on the sides. not above the eyelid crevice though otherwise you look like those 80 year old ladies that apply their lipliner outside their lipline to make them appear bigger!

Just sweep a brush of the dark brown to the side of your eye lide to make it stand out more. You can also put a tan/lt. brown above the eye lid, under your brows.

  11. then maybe your doing it to thick

if you do it at the top then try just putting it at the bottom and it will help

  12. Get a Kohl Soft Blend Pencil Eyeliner. Most come with a blender on the other side. They are used to achieve smokey eyes. You basically smudge the eyeliner. It's a bit hard to explain.

Here is a tutorial on YouTube I found. She is doing a Silver and Black smokey eye. She used MAC FluidLine (You can use this instead of the Kohl Eyeliner) At about 4:18 in the video, she starts to apply it. At 4:40, she starts to blend it. Hope this explains it better. (Her whole smokey eye look is pretty cool, too!)
