MARTIAL ARTS IN UNDERWEAR?

i met this guy that promises to teach me karate, however he insists his style the uniform is my tity whiteys..i feel unconfortable being the only student. he makes me do splits n' stuff. is this correct? he just stares and hits me with a stick. i saw this on that jean claude van d**n movie, kickboxer, but i feel real unconfortable. he breathes on me too. is this normal?

What!?! He lets you wear underwear? He never let me wear any when I trained with him, said I needed the extra limb to hit my opponent with in case all my other four limbs were tied up. : (

Since when did he change the curriculum to include underwear? I want a refund!

h*ll no it's not normal, nor would i consider it appropriate. he sounds like a perv to me. get away from him and get some real lessons form someone who really knows karate or another martial art.

how did u meet this person, and regardless, has he taught u anything or is he just making u work out in ur underwear,  i find it creepy as h**l but its possible he knows what he is talking about but its very unlikely

I see several possibilities here:

1) You are making this up, in which case you have a problem.

2) You are gullible enough to train under what is most likely a pervert.

3) I won't even say what I was thinking when I started to answer this.

There are actually a few styles that you wear very little in or what most people would feel uncomfortable in and doing splits is not that unusual.  Kalariopayattua immediately comes to mind but there there is very little of it taught in this country.  I have included a web site with a short video for you to watch.  You might find out what style this is that you are studying and if it is not Kalari but rather some other style then I would seriously wonder what his real intentions are if it is a traditional style where a gi is normally worn.
