MBA in Finance at Strayer University. Is there is any type of negative stigma to an "Online" University?

Will I be as marketable as someone who gets their degree from a private or state institution?

  1. It is not so much that it's "online" but rather the school is a for-profit institution.  A for-profit institution means that their main goal is to provide profit for their shareholders -- not to educate.  These type of schools are not taken seriously by employers at all.  Some exceptions are with technical/vocational programs that provide direct job training, but this is not your case.  You would be wasting money on this degree there and it will hurt, not help, your resume.
