MCA president Vilasrao http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shoaib-Akhtar-c90080 – Cricket News Update
Vilasrao Deshmukh, the president of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Tendulkar-c2556 in his recently-released book.
In his autobiography named as ‘Controversially Yours’, Akhtar made some sensational claims against different local and Indian cricketers. Writing about the legendary batsman, the former fast bowler questioned Tendulkar’s match-winning ability.
Although, he termed the maestro as one of the best in the business, he commented that Tendulkar lacks the ability to win games single-handedly. Moreover, he claimed that the Master Blaster was afraid of his firing deliveries.
Akhtar maintained a similar point of view about http://www.senore.com/Cricket/R-Dravid-c2229, saying that the veteran batsman is not a match-winner, despite his technical prowess.
Shoaib’s remarks against the Indian superstars received heavy criticism from cricketing circles across the globe.
Jointing the bandwagon, Deshmukh, who is also the Union Minister, slammed the pacer and said that since Akhtar’s claims are baseless, he should apologise to the Little Master.
"His (Shoaib's) remarks should be condemned. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Chinnadupargea-Sachin-c50607 is a world class player and has made several records. He should apologise to Sachin," Deshmukh said on the sidelines of a function.
Earlier, the former Pakistani captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Wasim-Akram-c96292, criticised Akhtar’s statement about the star batsman. While praising the talent of the Mumbai-born cricketer, he suggested Tendulkar to ignore Akhtar’s comments before adding that the express bowler has
always been a cause of controversies.
Tendulkar is not only the highest run-getter in One-Day and Test cricket, but also holds the record of the most number of International centuries. With 99 centuries under his belt, the great Indian batsman is just one ton shy of his hundred of hundreds at
the highest level of the game.
Even though, the legendary batsman has not responded to Akhtar’s shocking comments, his fans are continuously lashing out at the World’s quickest bowler.
Due to the ongoing controversy, the scheduled release of Akhtar’s book in Mumbai was cancelled on Sunday, September 25, 2011.
Deshmukh further described that the Rawalpindi Express sparked the debate just for the sake of increasing the sale of his controversial book.
