  1. I think that it's great for Obama/Biden ticket. Because by choosing a running mate with no foreign policy experience, his argument against Obama's inexperience is very weak now. Obama's running mate Biden is highly experienced in foreign policy. Therefore,Obama can lean on Biden to help him make decisions on foreign policy matters. As for McCain,he's 72 years old with a history of health problems. If he dies in office, then Palin will take over as president with very little foreign policy experience. If Obama ends up not finishing his term, Biden will be ready to take over as president because of his extensive foreign policy experience.

But yeah...by choosing inexperienced Palin for his running mate, McCain can't argue about Obama's inexperience. McCain's judgment can be really criticized now.

Also...my first impression about McCain's pick is that he's targeting women voters including especially disgruntled Hillary supporters. However, her strong pro-life record won't sit well with the women that are prochoice. Her strong conservatism won't sit right with liberals. Therefore, his pick might actually backfire. His pick can be seen as insulting womens' intelligence too.

  2. an outstanding choice.. someone with with more experience than Obama that has done the things he talks about!

Read her bio before you post again please.

I doubt she will pawn her children like Obama has with staged questions and photo ops... its actuall\y sickening.

  3. she represents alot of the obama talk as far as no lobbiest and cleaning things up which is why he chose her plus this is a huge trick to pull in some of those hillary fans specialy the woman

  4. I  think he picked a good choice in VP. Everyone wanted Hilary in office because "we need a woman in office" well now if McCain wins, we hill have a woman in office :) Obviously if she is the governer of alaska and raised four kids, i'm pretty sure she can be the VP w/ 5 kids. I really hope McCain wins the election!!!

  5. I think we could say the same for Obama, now, couldn't we??    Obama and his wifey are parading themselves all over the country and they, too, have young children, so what's your point??  How selfish is HE??

I think she'll do just fine - she's a smart cracker and has MUCH more experience that that pipsqueak Obama - hands down!

    McCain/Palin '08!!

  6. my honest opinion is it really wouldnt have mattered who he chose. somewhere someone out there would find a problem.

since i cant choose who they choose as VP i just sit back and will wait it out til november. no point in bothering with it right now.

    now for the thumbs downs.

  7. Desperate?  It was BRILLIANT!!  Your boy dropped the ball by not picking Billary, because he could not stand the thought of sharing the spotlight.  So he picks some old hump who has the experience he lacks...the same old hump who not-so-many months ago, criticized him for his lack of experience and then some!!  How well do you think they knew each other before hopping into bed?  As far as her baby goes...there are SO MANY WORKING WOMEN OUT THERE...I think it's about time we all have someone to relate to.  And working mom's in the country are going to appreciate that.  Her record might be short, but it speaks for itself.  That bridge to nowhere Obama keeps promising, is a bridge to somewhere she has already built!!  RESEARCH BEFORE YOU POST!!

  8. lol, McCain is a joke.  It just goes to show he has bad judgment.

  9. You sound worried?  As a Hillary fan who is not supporting Obama, I hope his campaign and the DNC are regretting Hillary's treatment even more now.  Not even vetting her as a VP contender made Obama look like a fool.  The Republicans putting a woman on the ticket makes Obama look like a fool even more.

McCain will get some Reagan Democrats out of this ... some Conservative Democrats .. and maybe the working-class and/or older Dem women who are still hesitant about Obama.

Palin's lack of foreign policy experience will be something used against her for the sake of her opponents' political capital, but, unlike Biden, she's a Washington outsider, a woman, she's young, and she been in elected office for 13 years.  These are only some of the positives.  McCain has picked very cleverly.  Although Palin's a gun-totting life member of the NRA, the only thing I do ponder is how the woman thing will play out with the Republican rural south ...

  10. Mc cain suck

  11. Arent democrats supposed to believe a woman can be a working mom quite easily without any problems?

  12. A HOT choice, for sure!

  13. Yes. The only Desperation i see is all these whiny Bots on here.. There boy just got trumped, and now they wanna cry no fair!!!

  14. Desperate?  Your kidding, Right?

He met her once in February.  SO?  After meeting her (and I'm sure doing an intensive study on her record), she must have impressed him as being a very smart, capable woman.

What does  McCain being 72 have to do with anything?   Rockefeller (D) 71, Kennedy (D) 76, and  Byrd (D) being 90+ doesn't seem to be a problem for Dems, so what's your point?  Even Byrd, in 2007 said  "Age is no barrier to service".

So she has 5 children.  She has gone from attending her first PTA meeting to being the Governor of Alaska and she, her husband and her children seem to be handling things just fine.

Myself.  I think she is not only a brilliant choice, but also an exciting one.  The Obamites have been touting Obama as the fresh new face of change.  Well, maybe now there are two new fresh faces of change!  Looking at some of the responses to her being chosen, I think the Obamites are maybe more than a little nervous over McCains VP PICK!

  15. This goes to show you he wants this presidency...He would do anything to convince we (women) to cross over.  He hasn't got it and if he hasn't got it now, would get it then. The only thing that Hilliary and Sarah has in common, they are women.  Just because Sarah has went against some hard rocks (men) doesn't mean she knows how to bounce against "Rocky Mountain".

  16. although i am an obama supporter, i think it was a good choice. a black and a white... a man and a woman... it balances out. now black rights activists and feminists have someone.
