It's a PEOPLE  problem.  Of course not evryone is that difficult thank God!

You didn't say what your job is so I can't say for sure specifically but I'll try to answer.

If you are in any SERVICE industry, yes you have to "baby" some customers because they expect a service that caters to their needs.

And some times yes, unfortunately you are in a position some times where a co-worker may give you a hard time about team work and this can be especially true in competitive business. Try to work around it and show you are a competent person and are valuable. Maybe find what it is they may need from you someday and work a fair bargain or cooperative relationship if you can. Try to know your job really well and form a solid network of people.

Show you deserve respect in situations. If you are talking about yourself being a customer and someone gives you a hard time about giving you a service: demand your rights and get what you will pay for or go elsewhere.
