MEN: Why does marriage scare you so much?

Why does the idea of marriage scare so many men? I never understood this! What do they think that they will be losing? Don't they know that it is a blessing to find a person that wants to marry them and love them forever. I know not all men are like this but the majority of men are!! Are they just scared of commitment? I never can understand it!! What is the deal with men and marriage?

Because it means you are tied down to one person. And most men are scared of commitment. like bob.

I think the fact that they will stuck with the same women scares a lot of men. Plus its easier to break up with somebody than divorce them. Marriages seem not to work much these days. Usually one or the other is unhappy. People change sometimes when getting married. They figure they got what they wanted and have to stop putting in the effort to make things work. They get complacent, let themselves go, stop telling each other they love each other as much.

Divorce is pretty expensive and the guy usually gets the short end of the stick. This is one of the reasons.

The problem is that women often change after marriage.  They don't care about their weight, it's no longer necessary to make love and they get very bossy....I speak from experience.  It's pretty much the end of life as we men know it.

cause most of us are pigs. i havent dated in a few years but ifound someone and yes it is someonei met on hear but we have a great chemistry. she lives in houston and im in austin but the thing we have is something special. i want that void filled in my life and will do so with her . the thing abouta guys mind is that we are pigs and that "society" really messes up our thought process. like all of our good times are over but there not. its really bulls--t cause it seems like the end when most of us think marriage.

Well we don't want to be tied. Usually in a relationship you can break up when things go bad but marriage is for life so there's no easy way out. That's it, not complicated at all.
