MEN-how would you feel if you received this text off your girlfriend?

(i have just finished uni and i am DESPERATE for a job)

''you knew how much i wanted a job and i was absolutely gutted when they didn't ring me friday about the result of my interview and you didn't even care (he said he was busy playing the Wii so he'd ring me tomorrow!)

and i was excited when i rang them this morning and it sounds like i could still get the job (i have been shortlisted). i wasn't even going to tell you about it 'cause i knew you wouldn't be interested. the girls and my family were so pleased for me, shame my boyfriend isn't.'' (when i told him on the phone his response was basically ''oh right''

surely i should be able to tell him things that are important to me and he could at least pretend to be excited/sad for me!!!!!!

I know I'm not a man, but he doesn't care about your feelings.  I hope you will do what's best for you and find another who DOES care.

I'd be happy and delighted for her, or sad, in the first case.  When we have friends or family that we care about, we do feel their pain and their joy. That's what friends and family are for, to share, our lives with.

If he's not even putting on a pretense at caring about your life, and would rather play with his Wii, then, he's not your boyfriend, and doesn't care about you a bit.

Time to say bye bye to him and find some one, who will care about your trials, and your triumphs.

i'd feel mor ethan terrible...seems like your bf acted like a complete jerk about that....just stop talking to him,and if he calls you,just tell him "oh,im sorry,im busy picking my nose" something stupid like that,to show him you can do stupid things too...

tlel him that you dont want to get into a quarrel. but allittle more appreciation would help.

In my case - i would be puzzled - as i would never give reason for such a message..

But - playing a game is more important than his girlfriend?

Not a good sign, that.

maybe he just has a problem and is telling you because he knows your intrested and is saying your not so he wants your attention or maybe something else.

sounds like he is too self obsorbed to give you a thought, don't give him a second thought. find someone who cares about what you do and where you want to be. you will get a job and you should celebrate this as its a another day closer to what you are reaching for xx good luck
