  1. i would say its the eggs

  2. Have you been noticing these since they've been changing? The meal worm itself is the larval stage of the bug's life. Between worm and beetle there's the pupal stage. A pupae usually looks like an ugly white meal worm mutant. And they do tend to curl into balls for some time. Their back end will usually still look worm-y while the head is bigger, and they have a pretty hard looking appearance. Their eggs look like tiny grains of rice, and I imagine they're pretty hard to see. Here's a picture of the life cycle:

Crickets are pretty hard to breed as they need specific humidity and temperature. Their eggs also look like tiny grains of rice, and they come out looking like crickets. Take a closer look at these bugs. If they don't look like any of the meal worms or like crickets then it may be a problem. It could be some sort of parasite, or even some other type of bug that snuck into your tank. If you can't identify them I would definitely stop feeding any bugs from that tank until you know for sure what you've got. Though I really feel that you've probably just got meal worm pupae. Hope I could help!

  3. hmm..iv never bred my own meal worms...i do know that after the worm stage they turn into beetles but im not sure what they look like in the larvea stage...crickets either....i would google that one for sure!

And i would hold off on feeding any of those bugs until you find out..it may be some kind of parasite....so sorry i couldnt help more....but i would definately find out for sure first!

  4. i know you should only feed small amounts of meal worms once and a wile because the are not the moast healthy thing for your pet, i know they turn into betles but i've never saw any of the white worms, you should post a picture or lokk it up on a websit all about bugs like that (books are always good sorces to).

    hope you figure it out!

  5. You`ll never know until you try! I never heard of breeding meal

worms but it`s worth a try
